About Us
Preserving Legacy. Inspiring the Future.
The Howard Thurman Human-Assisted Intelligence Project is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit dedicated to preserving America's moral, spiritual, and civil rights legacy through emerging technology.
Our Mission
Love Remains Humanity's Greatest Weapon Against Hate
We believe the moral and spiritual lessons of the civil rights movement are as urgent today as ever. Our mission is to protect that legacy and carry it forward — using emerging technology, including Human-Assisted Intelligence storytelling, to reach new generations with authentic history and enduring hope.
Our Approach
History, Honored Through Innovation
We pair authentic archival footage with Human-Assisted Intelligence cinematic techniques — never replacing history, but illuminating it. Every project begins with real testimony, real footage, and real people, brought to new audiences through emotionally powerful, technologically forward storytelling.
Our debut feature, Love Always Conquers Hate, is the first expression of that mission — a 67-minute film built to educate, unite, and empower.
The Filmmaker
Darryl Edric Pugh, Sr.
An award-winning Baltimore filmmaker and former commercial producer for The Oprah Winfrey Show, Pugh wrote, produced, directed, narrated, and edited Love Always Conquers Hate.
Throughout his career, Pugh has produced inspirational media designed to educate, unite, and empower audiences — a mission that reaches its fullest expression as founder of The Howard Thurman Human-Assisted Intelligence Project.
